Brow FAQ
Am I a good candidate for Brow Lamination?
determining whether you're a good candidate for brow lamination depends on a few factors. generally, brow lamination is ideal for individuals with unruly or sparse brow hair who are looking to achieve a more defined and groomed look. it works well for most people, but it is not recommended for those with sensitive skin, rosacea, eczema, a history of contact dermatitis, or those undergoing chemotherapy.
What are the benefits of Brow Lamination?
do you struggle with sparse, unruly brows that just won’t cooperate? brow lamination (aka the brow lift) helps your brows stay in place and appear fuller for weeks or even months. no more frustrating daily eyebrow makeup! brow lamination creates a thicker, fuller look, and the entire process is completely non-invasive.
Ideal candidates:
thinning hair due to age
gaps from over-plucking or over-waxing in the past
unruly hairs that tend to go in different directions despite brushing
lack of shape or uneven brows
How long does a Brow Lamination last?
brow lamination can last up to 8 weeks, depending on aftercare, your brow hairs, and your lifestyle. on average, clients come back for a refresh every 6 weeks. the tint used is a revolutionary gel dye with a henna effect, delivering a long-lasting tone that stays on the skin for up to 2 weeks + up to 7 weeks on the hair.
What is the prep/aftercare for a Brow Lamination?
Before your appointment, remove all face products around the brow area. Any leftover oils or lotions can interfere with the treatment and lead to undesired results.
Post-Care (first 24 hours):
Keep your brows completely dry, this includes avoiding sweating, hot baths/showers, saunas, steam rooms, + swimming.
Do not wear eye makeup for the first 12 hours.
Avoid rubbing, touching, or irritating the brow area.
After 24 hours, gently remove the conditioning cream with a damp cotton round or Q-tip.
Maintain:
Avoid scrubbing your brows back + forth to help the shape last longer.
Use an oil-free makeup remover + cleanse in the same direction you want your brows to lay.
Apply the provided castor oil nightly + condition up to 2x per week.
Brush through your brows daily with a clean spoolie/mascara wand.
Note: Excess sun exposure can weaken the lamination and fade the tint. Chlorine and certain skincare products may also shorten the results of both the perm and the tint.
Do you offer Brow Henna?
we’ve fallen in love with our brow tint so much that we no longer offer henna. our exclusive gel dye with a henna effect provides highly pigmented color for both your hair and skin. this innovative formula offers an extended-lasting tone, remaining on the skin for up to 2 weeks and up to 7 weeks on the hair.
Is Brow Lamination painful?
no, brow lamination is a completely pain-free process that involves a gentle application of products which help shape and set your brows in place. some people may experience mild sensitivity during or after the procedure, but it's typically not painful.
Can I do Brow Lamination if I’ve had brow tinting or waxing?
yes! brow lamination works well after other brow services like tinting or waxing. in fact, we include waxing + tinting with our lamination for even more defined, fuller-looking brows.
Can I still wear makeup after Brow Lamination?
Yes, you can wear makeup after your brow lamination, but we recommend waiting at least 24 hours to allow the lamination to fully set. After that, feel free to fill in your brows or use makeup as usual. Just be sure to avoid oil-based products around your brows, as they can weaken the lamination.
